Model Update - Main Character Complete

I have finally finished modeling the main character.

I'll take a day break tomorrow and start rigging on Sunday.

Also, I shall edit the production schedule a little as my modeling period was not as short as I expected it to be.

Well, I must admit I'm pretty satisfied with myself. Just exactly one year ago I did not have the skills to even go through the modeling stage of Project New World.

Now let's bring this project up by a level!

Model Update - Main Character pt 5

I finished modeling the hair and night-vision goggles.

I'll start rigging during the weekend. For now, I'll apply finishing touches to the model as well as extra accessories like a punch to store ammunition or other types of small equipment.

Model Update - Main Character pt 4

The female model is 90% complete.

I applied finishing touches to the clothing, armour and weapons.

Now, to finally model the hair as I said I would yesterday.

Hair Modeling in progress.

9:11pm

I've done the base for half of the hair, now for the other half.

-

10:42pm

I've finished modeling the hair base.

I'll take a break now and resume working on the hair tomorrow.

The modeling for this character is almost complete. The only thing which I wish to add is a pair of night-vision goggles which I'll model after I'm done with the hair.

Once the modeling for this character is complete and finalized, I shall finally rig it.

Model Update - Sniper Rifle

I spent the evening modeling the main character's sniper rifle using a .50 cal barrett blueprint as reference.

For the rifle mount I set the pivot point higher so that I can rotate and animate it like how a mount should behave.

I have yet to do some fine-tuning to the rifle geometry.

12:32am

Update, I've finished modeling the sniper rifle along with its details.

I shall start modeling the main character's hair tomorrow.

Model Update - Main Character pt 3

I'm almost done with the modelling of my main character.

Using the blueprints I drew out last year, I created some weapon attachments.

Now I'm left with the hair, gloves and knee pads.

After that, I will model out details for the armour.

Yesterday I went over to Lighthouse Studio again to help Mr Douglas out with pyro explosions. So far it's looking pretty good especially when setting the simulation to upres. Hopefully I could get some renders posted by next week.

Model Update - Main Character pt 2

Another update.

I've refined the base outfit and modeled a few armour.

I still have shoulder guards to model.

The wrist guards plus armour located waist down onward have not been refined.

Model Update - Main Character pt 1

I've resumed working on the main character today, here's how much I've done so far.

Now that I have a rough base clothing for the body, I can extract and model out cool looking armours for my character.

I'll start working on the pre-visualization and finalize my production schedule tomorrow.

The Start of Pre-Production

I've completed the storyboard for the trailer of Project New World. After the trailer is complete, I'll make use of those scenes and finally work on the main episodes.

I've started the modelling of one of my main characters today.

I'm surprised I still haven't lost my touch in using Maya after the SideFx attachment.

So anyway I aim to complete the modelling of the base armour for my main character by tonight.

I'll come up with the production schedule and pre-visualization over the weekend.

I might not have much to show now due to the secrecy of this project in order to prevent spoilers.

Rest assured that by next monday I'll have plenty more to show once I've sorted out my production schedule and pre-visualization.

Project New World

Today is the official beginning of Project New World.
It has been an ongoing personal project for quite a long time but back then I didn't have the skills to proceed on further.

Now that I've been through 2 major school productions and several smaller projects, I'm ready to bring Project New World to a higher level.

Here's a list of elements which will aid me in the start of my project:

1) Low-Poly Female Character Geometry without facial and clothing details, unrigged.

2) Unfinished Katana.

3) Unfinished Pistol.

4) Terrain Generator Digital Asset.

5) Rock Generator Digital Asset.

6) Nuclear Explosion Test.

Thanks to Mr Douglas for letting me use a station at his studio for pyro fx works.

To start off this CG animated series, I'll have to develop a trailer first to see what I'm capable of creating.

This week I'll work on my storyboard and get the trailer shots into place.
